Hey guys! Fall is right around the corner and that means busting out those deep burgundy lipsticks! I love the look of clean skin paired with a bold lip. For a touch of color on the eyes, I applied a taupe shadow on the lids and added mascara. The details on how I created this look will be listed below.
To get the perfect dark red lip for this fall, line the outer portion of the lips with a deep burgundy or black liner and apply a red lipstick in the center, fading the colors together. With such a bold lip, it’s best to keep the skin clean and eyes minimal. For this look, I used Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipsticks in the shades, Midnight and Sarafine. (Quick tip: apply the liquid lipsticks quickly before they dry to avoid cracking and flaking).
For the rest of this look, I kept my brows natural using Benefit Gimme Brow in the shade #3 to thicken my hair and tame them. I cleaned them up with a little bit of concealer to keep the shape clean.
To prime my eyes, I patted Benefit No Pressure! Creaseless Cream Shadow on my lids and swept Anastasia Beverly Hills Raw Sienna shadow in the crease and lower lash line. On the lid, I swept Warm Taupe over the cream shadow and lower lash line as well. Both shadows are from the Modern Renaissance palette. For a little highlight to brighten my eyes, I applied Peach Sorbet shadow single in the inner corner of my eyes. To keep this look simple and wearable, and also because I love just wearing mascara, I used Smashbox X-Rated mascara and Benefit Roller Lash. These two mascaras are my favorite and makes my lashes long and full.
For my skin, I mixed Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless foundation (shade 128) with their Shine-Free Stick foundation (shade 330) in a darker shade to bronze my skin. I applied the darker shade on the perimeter of my face and the hallows of my cheekbones. To conceal and brighten under my eyes, I dabbed a little bit of Mayeblline Fit Me concealer (shade sand) and blended it in with a damp Beauty Blender. To set the concealer to prevent it from creasing, I swept Rodial Instaglam Compact Banana Powder and RCMA No-Color Powder under my eyes. I set the rest of my skin with the No-color powder as well (all-time favorite powder). I love contouring my cheekbones but I didn’t apply too much product for this look. I used Frankie Rose Cosmetics Pro Contour Palette. To add a bronzy glow, I swept The Balm Betty-Lou Manizer on my cheeks and to highlight, I applied Anastasia Beverly Hills Marshmallow from the Sweets Glow Kit.
