Hey beauties! I wanted to create a really dramatic makeup look using some glitter and a festive red lip. This look is perfect to wear for New Years Eve! Below I’ve listed all the steps to create this look.
Face
- Prime the face with Benefit Cosmetics’ POREfessional Face Primer.
- For this look, I want my skin to be matte so I applied Maybelline’s Fit Me! Matte foundation.
- To conceal and brighten under my eyes, I applied MAC Pro Longwear Concealer.
- I applied Ben Nye’s Cameo powder and Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder to set the concealer to prevent creasing.
- To set the foundation, I powdered my face with Benefit Cosmetics’ POREfessional: Agent Zero Shine powder.
- To add some color to my cheeks, I swept theBalm Frat Boy blush.
- To contour, I Blended Jing Ai’s Goddess Vienna Charm Cheek Rouge into the hollows of my cheekbones.
- To highlight, I swept Becca’s Champagne Pop on the tops of my cheekbones.
Brows & Eyes
- To fill and shape my brows, I feathered Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Soft Brown Brow Wiz in the front and filled the middle and end of my brows with Chocolate DipBrow.
- To set my brows, I applied Kiko Milano’s Eyebrow Designer gel.
- To prime the lids, I applied Benefit Cosmetics’ Air Patrol.
- For eyeshadow, I started with Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Lace shadow all over the lid from the Self Made Palette.
- As a transition shade, I swept the shade Blush in the upper portion of the crease.
- To deepen, I buffed ABH Brownie single shadow into the crease and blended outwards.
- On the lid, I lighted dabbed Giorgio Armani Eye Tint in the shade No 7.
- To make the shadow pop, I patted ABH Chocolate Crumble single shadow on top of the eye tint.
- To add some black, I blended ABH Spirit Rock shadow in the outer corner and blended outwards to create a soft wing.
- YAY! Glitter! I dabbed Star Crushed Minerals Champagne Wishes glitter onto the lid.
- For mascara, I used Benefit Cosmetics’ Roller Lash and popped on Vegas Nay’s Grand Glamor lashes.
- For the water line and lower lash line, I used Urban Decay’s LSD eye pencil and applied ABH Peacock single shadow on top to make the shadow pop.
- To blend out any harsh lines, I swept ABH Brownie and Blush on the lower lash line.
Lips
For a festive red lip, I applied Anastasia Beverly Hills’ Sarafine and Sad Girl liquid lipstick. Of course a nude or beige lip would go with this look if a red is too bold.
